Left 4 Dead, Right?
Valve, the company of Half Life fame, is about to release a first person zombie shooter called “Left 4 Dead”. The single player element is designed so that you play several “movies” each in a different setting and each with their own terrifying “infected”. The infected are the zombies and there are many kinds of them, from ones that vomit up on you which causes your screen to be all blurry green to ones who travel in packs and ravage you as they tear you apart.
In the single player you play as one of the “survivors” trying to survive through the madness. From the videos I’ve seen, this game looks crazy. It’s really fast paced and looks like it will get your blood pumping. The multiplayer is another huge aspect, probably one that will take up most of your time. This mode also has co-op which is a nice touch. You can play as either the survivors or the infected in an all out brawl.
With heavy hitters such as Gears 2 and Resistance 2 this fall this game might get slightly overlooked, but this game is worth the purchase just as much as the other two. After all this is Valve were talking about. Expect the game on shelves November 18th 2008 for the PC and Xbox 360.
