Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Personally I am really really looking forward to this game.  Last night I saw Clone Wars and wasn’t too impressed but certainly it was a star wars film that I needed to see.  The Forced Unleashed is a brand new story based on Darth Vader’s apprentice.  The story takes place between episode 3 and 4.  The developers wanted to make a game based on the force and they came up with Force Unleashed.  There are many force moves to chose from and most of them appear outrageously devastating.  In the game you will use the force(and your lightsaber) to destroy rouge Jedi per command of Darth Vader.  This is going to be released September 16 for the XBOX 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PSP.  Yes, I think this game is going to ROCK, I just hope it delivers

Release on the Wii Shop Channel 7-14-08

Well today actually two games came out on the Virtual Consone and one game came on to the Wiiware.  First up is Donkey Kong 3 for the NES at 500 Wii points.  OH NO, Donkey Kong has broken into Stanley the Bugman’s greenhouse.  Help him in this game to stop the havok cause by Donkey Kong and restore peace to the greenhouse.  Next up for the Neo Geo coming in at 900 Wii points is Ninja Commando.  Ninja commando is an action shooter that origanally came out in May of ‘92. And finally for Wiiware is Major League Eating:  The Game.  I don’t know much about this game except that its about eating.  Well today wasn’t a terrible day for the VC but it certainly wasn’t good.

Mega Man 9

As you all probably knew already, Mega Man 9 is coming to Wiiware soon and should be an excellent game.  A new classic Mega Man game?  What could be better?  It’s not only coming out on Wiiware, but it’s also being released on the 360 and the PS3 and their respectful download services.  Great news because everybody is a winner.  Mega Man games are hard, and I could never actually beat one.  This time I’m gonna do it.  Look for a full review of this game around the time it comes out (which is probably in a couple of weeks).

As you can see above, it mentions all of the systems networks.  Yay!

Rock Band Wii version

Well, seeing as Rock Band Ps3 and Xbox360 was released last November the Wii version is a bit late.  Rock Band is an awesome game for the 360 and I don’t think that anything (almost) can mess it up for the Wii.  Some things had to be taken out for the Wii version.  Among these things were the create your own character, Touring the World, and creating a band.  The new system of playing through the game is similar to Guitar Hero, you just play a cluster of 4 songs at a time.  While it may be late and not as many things in it as the Xbox 360 version, Rock Band is still the best multi-player music game for the Wii.  There you go, Get Your Rock ON!!

Disaster: Day of Crisis

This game was announced as a launch tittle or soon after launch for the Wii.  After 1 year and 7 months and about 21 million Wii’s sold there is no sign of Disaster.  This project has thought to have been cancelled, but an April 2008 issue of Famitsu (a Japanese  video game  magazine)  revealed that they hope to have Disaster: Day of Crisis out in Japan by July 3 2008.  Many of you Americans understand that in order to play a japanese game they have to translate it to English (unless you know Japanese, in which case you could just import it.)  The translation process may take a bit of time so we probably won’t see it too soon, but you can still hope.  I mean us Nintendo fans are use to waiting by now.  How long did we wait for Twilight Princess?  Wasn’t it announced in 1999 or something?

Summer is here.

And along with summer comes lots of down time, or work.  Either case is cause for celebration, except the work case.  Anyway, this summer we are going to get clixgames back online (literally).  I’m going to kick off the summer post with an awesome article about Tales of Symphonia 2:  Dawn of the New World.  The game is about something going wrong with the worlds Lloyd has put back into balance, but for some reason nothing is right anymore.  The main character Emil lives in Luin (you should remember this name if you have played Tales of Symphonia.)  Where he meets Marta Lualdi.  Marta has whats called the Ratatosk core which means she’s lord of all monsters.  Together the two can capture and train these pokemon, I mean monsters and have them fight with them in their party.  Seeing as the game is set in the New World, we will be seeing all familiar places will be a real joy in my heart.  I don’t know if I’ve said this before but Tales of Symphonia is probably the best game in the entire world.  I’ve put over 300 hours into it and its been good to me.  So seeing this sequel come to American soil in the fall sometime will be probably the best thing since sliced bread, well maybe.

Just some words, and some Galaxies.

So it’s fall. Actually it’s almost winter sortof. This is the season for great games, and that statement is so true. This fall is one of the most hugest in video game history. A bevy of super cool games. Already we have seen, Warhawk, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Orange Box, Skate, Ratchet and Clank, Guitar Hero III, Fire Emblem, and Zelda. These are just some of the titles that have come out, I’m sure I missed a bunch. The great thing is that there is still a good chunk of fall left. As the weeks go on and the games come, I will hope to keep you updated. On the gaming radar today is one of the biggest games this year. Super Mario Galaxy is out. This game is insane, I can proudly say that and I haven’t even played any of it. The animation is slick, the gameplay is tight, and the experience is out of this world, pun intended. Mario is at his best, in space, jumping around like the little Italian he is. Galaxy brings new costumes into the picture, including a bee suit, a boo suit, a fire suit, ice suit, and many more. There are a plethora of galaxies to play, and a horde of stars to collect. This game may may be the best platformer since SMB 3! Mario’s games have been a little rough lately, what with all of the spinoffs, but this one makes up for it big time. I wonder what they are going to think of next? I can’t even think about it?

Virtual Console 11/5/2007

Well honestly it’s purely coincidence that the day I decided to start posting again was the day that I have been waiting for for a long time.  Today’s virtual console release sent a chill down my back, a chill of nostalgia, of love, of all the things my childhood stood for.  Well maybe not all the things.  But it truely is a happy day.  Today, for the NES, Super Mario Bros. 3 came out (500 Wii points).  While many of us have played, and beat this game at least once in our lives.  Others have played much more than once.  Even though I own it for the gameboy I am still buying it for my Wii.  This game was the best.  If you don’t know about it, you need to go look it up because it would be to difficult for me to explain its awe.  Next on the VC list is Power Golf for the Turbo-grafx(600 Wii points).   Its a golf game, there is not much to say.  And finally on this amazing monday, Alien Soldier for the Sega (900 Wii points) Note that its 900 points, sometimes, for some reasons the prices are higher for some games.  This game is a side-scrolling shooter, kinda like contra.  With multiple weapons you can use and two different difficulty settings this game shouldn’t get old too quickly.  Well Today’s release of SMB3 was slightly expected seeing that its getting really close to the release of  Galaxy, which is going to kick butt.  But I’m still really glad that it came out.  Till next time keep rocking out and playing video games.

So this is the supposedly official box art for Super Smash Brothers Brawl. What do you think of it? I think it’s lacking a little something. I don’t know, but alot of Wii titles have had some pretty questionable box art and this one might fit in that category. I don’t know, it doesnt seem as epic as the cover of Melee. Wheres the Sonic? Wheres the Sonic? Where the heck is my buddy Lucas at? It seems overly cartoony. I mean where does this stand next to Super Mario Galaxy? That game has some cool box art. Anyways, its like I said supposedly official so lets hope they change it. I know they did the same thing for SMG, they said it was that and then the next week they changed it. So I’ll keep you posted as news comes in. Enjoy and please make some comments people!

My Zelda

Filed under:DS, News, PS3, Review, Wii, Xbox — posted by Gumby on October 2, 2007 @ 7:50 pm

I have received the Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.  Due to time limitations of my busy schedule, Ive only had like an hour to fool around with it, but so far it’s the best DS experience I have had.  Single player that is.  The games graphics are top noch.  I understand that the DS has its limits, but some games look all grainy and stuff.  This game seems to bypass that with very little bad graphicking.  In other words, it blows alot of other stuff out of the water.  I personally think they should make some 2-d Metroid, Zelda, and Mario on the DS.  Heck, even the Wii.  I was thinking, and wouldn’t 2-d games run insanely fast and smooth on a newer system like those?  I think it’s a no brainer.  I’m going to start a game studio and make 2-d games for the new systems.  Another thing on that note about the systems.  I was realizing how little time is in between each new console.  It seemed like yesterday that the ps2 and xbox etc, were top of the line.  Time just really flies I guess.  It’s been two years since the xbox 360 launched so that’s like another 3-4 right?  I think they should just stick with a system for longer.  I do really love how technology advances, its just a little heavy on your pocket.  I also missed out on staying up all night and waiting in line for any of the new ones.  Me and my fellow blogger, editor, whatever his/our title is, are going to be there next time, in a few or four years.  This has been a collection of things I’ve been storing in my brain today, thanks for listening.
