So I have to be honest here and say even though I’m a huge RE4 fan, it is actually the first RE game I’ve actually played. And because of it, I’m really looking forward to RE5 come spring time. So anyway, I’ve been hearing about the new animated Resident Evil movie and how it is directly tied to the happenings of Resident Evil 2. Since I’ve heard that I’ve been looking around to get my hands on a copy of it so that I could play it. This past Saturday I happened to find a copy for the Nintendo Gamecube for $30. I was super excited to take it home and play it.

When I got home I popped it into my Wii cause I had some free time. The opening cinematic experience was pretty nice, and then the game started. Now my only other game to help my frame of reference for RE2 was RE4: Wii edition(which is an awesome game). So I was used to seeing like a heads up display of what my health was, how much ammo I had left, and stuff like that. But no, In RE2 you get to tell how much health you have by looking at the condition of Leon/Claire. And as for ammo, you can see how much you have from you menu. The games controls are far from what most would consider easy. I’m still not sure if I was doing it right. And also, do the zombie actually die ever? Now, I realize that this game was made in 1998 for the Playstation, and then remade for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2003. So its already a decade old. So my conclusion is, if you liked RE2 when you played it back then, it’s probably still good for you. If you didn’t play it back then, don’t play it know.

It has been confirmed, the pretty cool Konami screen that was released a little bit ago that appeared to represent a new Metal Gear has been confirmed by Konami. There was much speculation on what the new Metal Gear would be on, since the font was in green some thought XBOX 360, since there were two i’s in it some thought maybe for the Wii but what it is really being released on is the iPhone. The game is going to have 8 missions and be contained in the world of MGS4. Its set to come out in spring of 2009.

Personally, I don’t have the best feeling about this game. When I think of gaming, my thoughts never lead me to the iPhone. I’m not saying that its going to be bad, I’m just a little concerned how its going to work. Is it going to be hard to control?, touching Snake like that? Will you use the accelerometer? I just hope that the game doesn’t fail. I’ll probably be getting when it comes out either way.

When I first saw about this game a while ago I was thinking how cool it was that there are still new games being made on the PS2. But then after rethinking what I had thought, I realized that this isn’t entirely a new game. While it has just recently been released, I guess you could call it “new” in that sense. The game is only really a 3-D remake of the GBA card based RPG. So yes, there are new games on PS2, kinda.

The Kingdom Hearts series is one of my favorite series, its up there with Metroid and Metal Gear, but still under Mario, Zelda, and the Tales series. This game, as stated before, is just a replica of Chain of Memories. Albeit, COM is a good game, I’m not sure they need to remake it into a 3-D model. Personally, I’ve never been that big into Card games. I mean of course I had like a thousand Pokemon cards, but I don’t think I ever actually played more than 5 games of it. This is another reason I probably won’t get this game. The card system isn’t a bad one. It still was rather enjoyable, it just wasn’t really my preferred battle system. If you played the first Kingdom Hearts, a good portion of COM should be familiar. If you didn’t play the first one, you should most certainly play it.

Having personally already played this game, I probably won’t be playing it again on my PS2. However, if you are a fan of the series and haven’t played Chain of Memories, then the 3-D remake for the PS2 would most likely something you don’t want to pass up.

So I don’t own the game Dead Space, although it is on my Holiday “Wishlist”. So instead of going out and buying it while it was on sale this past friday, I just put Downfall on my Netflix list. Downfall is an animated movie that explains the events leading up to the game, a prequel you might say. Before I saw Downfall I had a very vague clue about what the game was about, now it’s been explained.

The movie was ultimately a good film that somewhat kept my attention. I will try not to spoil it but if you’re really worried about it be careful about reading this. The beginning starts out pretty boring, and also a little bit confusing. There was something about a religious relic that I’m still not too sure about. But after about 30 minutes the animated action starts to kick in. The movie is some what over gory. I know you can’t ever have too much zombie gore, but some times it just seemed a little overdone. It was kinda humorous to hear the random and excessive obscenities that they scattered through the movie. Most of the time they could have easily done without swearing, but then again if zombies were coming after me I can’t say I’d be too thrilled. I haven’t played the game but the end of the movie set up either a sequel or the intro to the video game, and judging by the quality of this movie I hope that it is the video game that comes next and not another movie.

Overall I think this movie was worth my time. Especially since I want to play the video game, it sets the mood. I wouldn’t personally buy this movie but definitely put it on your Netflix or rent it, actually if your not a zombie fan, don’t even see it.

With only a measly day left until Ubisoft’s new Prince of Persia comes out on the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3, some of the fans are surely feeling the anxiety. I, not being a huge Prince of Persia fan prior to this game, don’t know everything about this series history. But since waiting patiently for this game since I saw something about it earlier this year, I have really anticipated playing it.

The game’s story is one of classic dark vs. light. There was a battle between light and darkness long before the game took place and light won. So light had locked the darkness up in the Tree of Life, which in time ended up in a forgotten desert. Of course there were warriors guarding the tree to make sure that no ally of darkness could unleash the inner evil that had long been forgotten. 2000 years had past and finally darkness prevailed. A descendent of that group of warriors, Ellka, searches for someone to help her once again defeat evil. And it wouldn’t be a Prince of Persia game if there was no Prince, so as you might have guessed, Ellka finds Prince and they go on to (hopefully) restore the world to its light side.

I have been waiting for this game but seeing as I’m a little short on money, it’s looking like a good christmas present. This game is being released in the U.S. on December 2nd.

Well just a couple days ago I purchased Animal Crossing: City Folk for $15 cash out of my pocket (I had $38 bucks in gift cards). I bought it because of the unlimited casual play you can get out of it.

I’m not entirely new to the Animal Crossing series. I had the Gamecube one for a little bit and it was fun to try to collect the NES games so i could play them. Excite Bike was the best one that you could play, for sure. I remember my house got cockroaches in it after a while so then I just kinda gave up.

Today was Day 2 for me in my little town of Tintaria. Let me explain the name. I had just had some chicken tempura the day before (or a couple days) and it was really good so I figured name it after that. I didn’t want to name my town Tempura because that would be too obvious. Well anyway thats the name of my town. Today is day 2 and my house is already at its 2nd size. I have a interior theme going on. The Beach. My wallpaper is set as the sky, I have a beach chair on the side of my room, in the corner is a propane stove for cooking up the hamburgers. You just have to bring your own box of Cheez-Its and its a trip to the beach! Once I’m able to, I’ll upload some photos of my house, and my town to the site so you guys can see whats going on. Well until next time, keep playing video games.

I was just thinking that a list like this would help with the holidays coming up and everything. Its a list of the most playing you get out of a game for the cheapest amount of money spent.

5. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Greatest Hits PS3 $30 Target (currently sold out))

This game come in number 5 due to its outrageous length. This is a great RPG that you will spend hours of your life. One of the amazing things about this game is that you can go anywhere you want to. However I advise not getting too sidetrack if you ever want to actually finish the game. The story line is fun and demonic. You get to open up some sweet gates that take you to the realm of “Oblivion” (gee I wonder where they would get a name like that). Anyway for only $30 bucks for the PS3 this game gives you many long hours.

4. BioShock (XBOX 360 $40 Target)

Next on our countdown is BioShock for the XBOX 360. Yes it is also out on the PS3 but its currently still priced at $60. This game is an excellent First person shooter horror title. As the game begins it thoroughly freaked me out, and as it continued it didn’t get any less scary. But as you continued to upgrade weapons, the game gets better (which getting better from good means its really good) and more in-depth. This game is on our list because of the “scare appeal” and the fact that you save $20 bucks on a game that could still be making $60.

3. Animal Crossing: City Folk (Nintendo Wii $50 Target)

Coming in at #3 is the recently released Animal Crossing: City Folk. This game just came out November 16th, so it is still its original price. I put this game on the list due to its ability to draw in players and keep calling them back to decorate there house. This game is about every day life. Talk to you friends and neighbors, fish for money, plant flowers to spruce up your yard, buy a nice couch to match your rug and wallpaper, and much much more. Warning: This game may cause addiction. Here it is at #3 because you can play it for the rest of your life, just don’t let it replace your real life.

2. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (Nintendo Wii $20 Wal-Mart)

There was a big toss up in my mind about what took first and what was slid into second. And seeing as RE4 is here at 2 apparently it didn’t win. Not that it wins a prize if it comes in first. Anyway this game was WAY worth it when it came out for $30 bucks and now that its down to $20 you’d have to be either a fool or conservative not to buy this game. Good classic shooting zombies game. It utilizes the Nintendo’s Wii motion controls pretty well, its still one of my favorite Wii games. This game obviously made it here to number 2 cause its ridiculously low price and amazing gameplay.

1. The Orange Box (XBOX 360 $20 Target)

When I started this list I knew that this would be number 1, that is until I thought about RE4 then I had some doubts, but my mind is made. This is without a doubt the best deal. 5 amazing games on one disc should definitely be worth more than $20 bucks. But hey, I’m not going to complain. I bought this game when it was at its original price, and it was still by far worth it. In this game is Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress. All those Half-Life 2 games are different games and Portal, O man, Portal is an amazing puzzle game that literally baked my noodle for me. Just the concept of making portals basically anywhere took me a while to get used to. Team Fortress is a FPS that is only online so if you don’t have XBOX Live, STILL GET THIS GAME. Its an amazing deal. 5 Great games, one cheap price. WOW.

So there you have it, Clixgames Top 5 “Bang for your Buck” games. I would like to let you know that these prices listed are when buying New games from stores. I didn’t take into consideration the fact that you can buy used games from various game stores. Also the prices are rounded to even numbers most of the games are 1 to 10 cents cheaper than actually listed.

The Super Nintendo was and is and will perhaps always be one of the greatest video game systems in history. It’s got tons of truly innovative, amazing games. One of those gems is a well known rgp called Chrono Trigger. You play as Chrono and your out to save the world (I know, how original). Other than that the games story is awesome, thats all you need to know for now. I will have more information in my review sometime.

The game is being remade for the Nintendo DS, with some adjustments made. Honestly, I would buy it even if it was just a straight up port of the original. The graphics are pretty much untouched which I think is a good thing. They added some new sidequests, added a multiplayer monster arena, and even a new unlockable dungeon. Since this is on the DS, there will be some use of the touchscreen, even though it might be just for the menus. Again, more on that in the review.

Arriving just before thanksgiving, November 24th couldn’t be any further away. I am really pumped up about this game. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I am proud to say that I will be rocking the original DS with this game. It just feels better to me. That’s all I have for now folks, have a good night!

So this is it, actually tomorrow is it but yesterday was the closest Virtual Console release to the two year anniversary mark of the Nintendo Wii. And what did they release?

For the Super Nintendo we get Spaced Invaders: The Original Game. This game probably made a lot of money when it was in the arcade. It in itself isn’t a bad game, a little dated but still pretty fun. The thing is, its just that with the 2nd anniversary of the Wii I figured that the game would be a little more Nintendo than Spaced Invaders. Like, I don’t know, Maybe Majora’s Mask? But I won’t talk about Majora’s Mask right now. Anyway I was really wishing it would be more about Nintendo than about third party this week.

Next on the VC list is Forgotten Worlds for the Sega Genesis. I haven’t played this game but looking into it it kinda reminds me of Contra. This is a side-scrolling shooting game. If you’re a fan of this genre, by all means get it. Like destroy everything on the screen kinda deal. So as you can see, this is not a First party title. But at least we are still getting VC games.

For the WiiWare aspect of things comes number 4 in an ongoing series of which I am a fan. Strong Bad’s cool game for attractive people Episode 4. I’ve enjoyed Homestar and Strong Bad since 2002 so when I heard (a while ago) about the Strong Bad episodes on WiiWare I was excited to see the gang doing some outreaching.

So these were yesterday’s release on the Virtual Console. Not quite the games we want to see but hey, they could have been a lot worse. We could have gotten Shaq Fu (no offense to Shaq). Well this is Tuesday and this has been a Virtual Monday.
